Celebrating the CRD's 50th Anniversary

Incorporated on July 9, 1968, the CRD is proud to be celebrating 50 years of providing local government services to the region. The CRD currently provides more than 100 local government services to taxpayers including fire protection, land-use planning, solid waste management, and invasive plant management as well as libraries and recreation facilities.

Upcoming Events

The CRD Board is planning several celebratory events and activities throughout 2018, including ‘birthday parties’ at local events throughout the region and a float for community events and parades. Information about upcoming events are posted on our website here and on our Facebook page.

Photo Contest

As a way to celebrate the Cariboo, we are hoping you will share your photos from around the Cariboo with us for the chance to win a GoPro HERO5 Session.

Post your photos on the Cariboo Regional District Facebook page or email them to communications@cariboord.ca by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31.

An independent panel of judges will evaluate all the photos and pick the top three contestants based on the quality of the photos and how well they represent the Cariboo Regional District.

We will share the top three photos on our Facebook page on Thursday, August 9, so the page’s followers can vote for the winning photo. The photo with the most likes at noon on August 23 will be the winner of the grand prize.

Review the PHOTO CONTEST RULES and if you want to submit a photo that has people in it, please send in a PERMISSION FORM completed by the people in the photo. These documents can be found in the sidebar. Contact us at communications@cariboord.ca if you have any questions about the photo contest.
